Make the Island your starting point for exploring the rest of Venezuela. The jungles plains, and natural wonders too numerous to mention here are only a short flight or cruise away. Then come back and unwind before your trip home.
This is a nice and small place, perfect for vacations at the beach. It is a private place, with private garden and a small but cool swimming pool and of course the entrance is independent from the main house.
We are located in "El Tirano" town at the northeast side of the island. If you drive or take a bus, the studio is about 6 minutes from Playa El Agua and 3 minutes from Playa Parguito. From Porlamar City is about 30 minutes. You can also walk to the nearest beach "El Tirano".
Margarita Island is truly blessed on many sides. It snuggles against the northern South American Continent thereby escaping hurricanes and variations in weather and enjoying consistently warm temperatures.
Its marine life thrives due to the shallowness of the surrounding ocean plateau (pearling and fishing were the main industries before the advent of tourism), which by the way makes it a good diving and snorkeling destination.
The charm of Margarita though lies in the contrast between its modern and its old, the new hotels and casinos on one side, ancient colonial architecture on the other, and in the background, the rhythmic pulse of a people intent on preserving some of the simplicities of life during years gone by.
